After her mother’s passing, Mapaseka and her little sister had nowhere to go. Their relatives weren’t capable of being their reliable, full-time guardians. Fortunately, the Beautiful Dream Society’s staff knew Mapaseka because her mother had previously worked at the BDS children’s home.
In light of all this, BDS took Mapaseka and her sister under their wing to provide proper care and healing.
Mapaseka was still very young and grieving the loss of her mother when she first arrived. Now, she is more energetic and happy, as a teenager should be! With all these good feelings came curiosity and an eagerness to learn new things.
Mapaseka loves cooking and always spoils her BDS mother with delicious treats. Mapaseka’s younger sister is also a delight to be around! The two sisters are very close. Mapaseka loves, cherishes, and always looks out for her little sister.
Although Mapaseka encountered a minor hiccup in her academics and had to repeat a grade, she is now performing very well. The love and support she receives from her BDS siblings and mothers in the home has encouraged her and given her the patience to hold on and not give up.
Many young children in Lesotho are left as orphans without family to take care of them. Beautiful Dream Society is currently working on building a permanent children’s home for vulnerable children, and we could use your help.
