March has been a productive month for the SEED project at Beautiful Dream Society, with notable achievements in education and entrepreneurship. It has been incredible to see how consistent effort has impacted individuals and our wider community.
Educational achievements
This month, we’ve taken significant steps to level up educational opportunities for our clients. We funded full educational support for one client starting secondary school, covering tuition and essentials like books, uniforms, and meals. This all-encompassing support package ensures that our clients can focus on their studies without financial worries.
Additionally, we resolved outstanding school fees for two clients, securing their continued education. Another client received funding for remedial classes, providing them the necessary support to succeed academically. These efforts are part of our broader goal to increase educational access and success for more clients in the coming months.
Vocational training
In vocational training, we launched an exciting new sewing project to develop marketable skills. We initiated a ‘train the trainers’ program, where one skilled participant is now equipped to teach others how to create stuffed animals, cushions, and hair bonnets. This project promotes self-sufficiency and adds valuable products to the local market, enhancing economic independence for participants.
Entrepreneurial insights
Our entrepreneurial venture with a mini shop in the village provided critical business insights. Although some products did not meet sales expectations, the experience offered valuable lessons in market demand and product viability. Our clients are using this knowledge to adjust their business strategies, planning to introduce new products that better meet the needs of their community.
