We make lives beautiful.

Addressing human trafficking by facilitating healing for survivors, preventing exploitation, seeking justice, and raising awareness while educating women and children.

You know that no human should be bought or sold, and you have compassion for the vulnerable people in these desolate situations. If you want to impact survivors, protect innocents, and enact generational change for the people of Lesotho, we need your help.

Beautiful Dream Society is a Christian humanitarian organization that strives to lead the Lesotho fight against human trafficking by providing protection, prevention, and prosecution in partnership with stakeholders worldwide.

Protect

We work with brave souls who have survived the harrowing ordeal of human trafficking, providing trauma-informed care thus helping them rebuild their lives in our shelter and Children's Homes and in their communities and with their families while protecting them from those who would seek to exploit them further.

Prevent

Human traffickers exploit the most vulnerable people, looking for targets who have lost their parents or  desperate to earn a living or not old enough to know better. We use multiple methods to pinpoint and prevent trafficking before it happens and educate the public on the signs.

Prosecute

We have advocated since our inception to support change to the laws in Lesotho to prosecute human trafficking effectively, and we have dedicated employees who work with the police to ensure traffickers must answer for their crimes.

BDS 15 yrs Banner

Rescued and served over 340 victims of human trafficking and underage sexual assault with shelter, medical care, education, and skills training.

Provided a safe home for 39 vulnerable orphans, ensuring holistic care including psychosocial and spiritual support.

Intercepted over 740 potential trafficking victims in just 3.5 years through our collaborative Transit Monitoring Program.

Why Should I Be Concerned About Human Trafficking?

February 3, 2016

People often ask me why I am passionate about the issue human trafficking. I find it difficult to convey in just a few words. For almost as long as I can remember, I have had the desire to fight against social injustice. I believe in the dignity and value of every human life, and in…

Child Trafficking in Africa

January 20, 2016

He works on a ranch in South Africa. After a scant early breakfast, hardly enough nutrition for his growing, skin-and-bones body, he begins his long day – nine to twelve hours of hard labor. He carries excruciatingly heavy loads as he works with his trafficker’s cattle.  Wielding a machete, he cuts through tall grass as he…

Psychological Chains: Coercion in Human Trafficking

January 17, 2016

I take a deep breath and stride into the classroom. Following my normal pre-presentation routine, I hastily unpack my bag and survey the classroom as students trickle in. Chairs scuff the floor and bags are plopped on desks, ready to inevitably be used as a headrest. As always, I watch for the token student who…

Selling A Better Life: Fraud in Human Trafficking

January 13, 2016

Who hasn’t dreamed of escaping their current circumstances for a better life? Who hasn’t wondered how much their life and the lives of their loved ones could be improved with more money, a different job, or a home in a different country? (If you’ve ever bought lottery tickets, you can identify.) Unfortunately, many traffickers use…

Next Level: Human Trafficking Awareness

January 11, 2016

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Beautiful Dream Society works hard this month and all year to teach awareness of human trafficking in Oklahoma and beyond. Naturally, this always gets me thinking about how truly aware we are of human trafficking’s many levels and facets. In the past two and a half years that I’ve worked closely with…

Fashion Mission

November 19, 2015

“We want to help those in danger.” Jessica and Tiffany’s decision to launch an online clothing store involved more than putting their stamp on Oklahoma City’s fashion scene; they also wanted to take a stand for justice alongside an Oklahoma non-profit. When they heard a friend talking about Beautiful Dream Society’s efforts to combat human…

Hope, Love, and Gingerbread

November 12, 2015

Amanda placed globs of white frosting on the sweet smelling baked abode, affixing decorative gum drops, M&Ms, and peppermints. Safe and secure from the darkness of sex trafficking she’d known her whole life, Amanda had constructed her first gingerbread house – and had experienced her first Christmas filled with care. Sold in sex trafficking – first…

Price Of A Life

November 8, 2015

The holiday season brings a lot of pricing with it! What is the price of airline tickets to get home for Christmas? The price of that KitchenAid blender going on sale Black Friday? The price of those video games the kids have been dropping hints about for months? Gifts well given, trips home to see…

Month of Thanks

November 1, 2015

“What do I have to do to stay here?” Upon first arriving at Beautiful Dream Society’s Oklahoma City Dream Home, this question often arises right away. While still in the midst of sex trafficking, many women in our program grew accustomed to having strings attached to everything. Traffickers would withhold food, shelter, and other basic…

Justice and Opportunity for All

We believe in justice for every victim and opportunity for every child. With special attention to the well-being and value of women and girls who often bear the brunt of disease, political unrest, and inadequate legal protections, we advocate and educate communities about the value of women and girls in hopes that one day, we won't be needed. Our dedicated team works alongside local authorities and our Police Advisors to ensure that traffickers are prosecuted and held accountable for their crimes. This rigorous pursuit of justice not only brings relief to survivors but also strengthens the legal framework against trafficking in Lesotho.

Our work is fueled by the belief that every person deserves to live a life of dignity and beauty, free from exploitation and fear. The support of our global partners and individuals like you is vital to our mission. By donating, sharing our story, or volunteering, you join a community committed to making a significant difference. Together, we can continue to fight against human trafficking and transform lives, one beautiful story at a time.
